Mommy's 1st Ride

Today was my first cycling competion in over a year, the ride was the Ride Against Hunger in Mission this morning May 25th, 2009 benefitting the Food Bank of RGV. My best buddy Angie's husband joined me for the ride, he is such a trooper, I called him the night before ride and asked, "Tito, wanna ride 25miles tomorrow morning?" I don't think he knew what he was getting himself into, I seriously dusted off my road bike in the garage and put it on the road just today!! Nonetheless, I think we did awesome 25 miles in the heat and nasty windy weather in just under 1.5hrs, not to bad for the mommy... Thanks for all the encouragement Tito!!!

Before Race, awww look how happy I am little do I know what is in store...

Me & Tito just after the race, were are looking a little beaten, but not defeated!!!

Modeling Show

Addie Belle and I got the chance to be models for Wells and strut our stuff on the runway!!! We got to wear some gorgeous clothes and it was all for a great cause. It was at a luncheon at Knapp Conference center benefiting the Aurora House in Weslaco. Here are a few shots of our modeling debut, I’m so glad I didn't trip and fall on the runway I am so uncoordinated….

Daddy duty, err...Nap time...

I love these photos! This is what I catch Addie and Daddy doing most nights, they love to take their naps right before their actual bedtime... I always wondered why she was full of energy in the middle of the night. I love Brian's comment when people ask him, "How well does Addie sleep?" Brian replies, "Great! She sleeps all night, not a peep", oh but, Mommy knows the truth, doesn't she Addie Belle...

Daddy & Addie Night!

After a month, Mama finally decided to go out with the girls and leave Addie with her Daddy. Thanks to a nice long checklist, we know what we are supposed to do...well wouldn't you know it, Addie had other ideas. Initially she said she wanted to go play golf, and then head to Progreso for tacos. I told her that probably wasn't a good idea and we should hold off until she can drive the golf cart a little better. So with that idea dismissed, Addie asked to take a nice warm bath and then to get dressed in her favorite color...burnt orange of course. Daddy couldn't help but to oblige and make his baby happy. As you can she was really excited...

She even started to do a little dance...

This little game came to an end when Daddy brought out the Aggie bear and Addie got onery...

Addie really made Daddy laugh when she said "Hope Aggie like mustard!" Others may just hear baby noises, but Daddy understands!
